Softball Recap: Boerne's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Smithson Valley, Boerne was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 9-5 victory over the Boerne-Champion Chargers. The win was some much needed relief for the Greyhounds as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Boerne's record is now 6-3. As for Boerne-Champion, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

The future could be bright for both Boerne and Boerne-Champion: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Boerne will try to hand Alamo Heights their ninth-straight defeat when the two meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Boerne has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. Meanwhile, Boerne-Champion will look to extend Pieper's four-game losing streak when they meet at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
