Soccer Game Preview: Eastmark vs. Saguaro

The Eastmark Firebirds will square off against the Saguaro Sabercats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Eastmark fell victim to Flagstaff and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 3-0. The Firebirds have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, everything went Saguaro's way against Coronado on Wednesday as Saguaro made off with a 5-1 win. Given the Sabercats' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 26th, while the Dons are ranked 95th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Saguaro has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for Eastmark, they now have a losing record at 4-5-1.
