Mapletown gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Monday. They blew past the Turkeyfoot Valley Area Rams 3-0. The Maples not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since September 24, 2024 (when they won 3-0).
Mapletown's got stronger as the match went on, holding Turkeyfoot Valley Area to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-20, 25-14.
Treslee Weston paced Mapletown's offense, picking up six kills. Weston got some help from Marley Shiflett and her 11 assists. Leah Williamson controlled things from the service line, finishing with eight aces.
Mapletown will host Geibel Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Turkeyfoot Valley Area, they will venture away from home to face off against Calvary Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
