Hononegah waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came out on top against the Rockford Auburn Knights by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in September.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hononegah took both sets by at least 11 points. The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 25-11.

Addison Erb paced Hononegah's offense, picking up five kills. Erb got some help from Makayla Harbison and her 11 assists. Harbison also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Katelyn Pigott, each putting up three.

Hononegah's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Rockford Auburn, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-14 record this season.

Hononegah will be taking part in a tournament against Prairie Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockford Auburn, they will venture away from home to challenge Harlem at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
