Basketball Game Preview: Ferris Yellowjackets vs. Alvarado Indians

The Ferris Yellowjackets will venture away from home to challenge the Alvarado Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ferris has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-2 during that stretch of close contests.

Last Friday, it was close, but Ferris sidestepped Godley for a 37-34 victory.

Meanwhile, Alvarado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Kennedale 102-70. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 722nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 98th).

Ferris' win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 18-13. As for Alvarado, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-14.

Ferris didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Alvarado in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-64 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ferris since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
