Central Kansas recap October 22, 2013

Hesston extended the longest winning streak in Central Kansas this week by beating Circle, 62-20. The victory was the seventh in a row for the Swathers.

Hesston led the league in scoring this week after putting up 62 points on the Thunderbirds. Wyatt McKinney threw for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 61 yards during the win.

Kingman's dynamic duo of Mitchell Packard and Brandon Bradshaw proved to be unstoppable against Trinity, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Packard threw for 176 yards and 3 touchdowns and Bradshaw had 84 yards receiving. Zach Andersen helped Kingman's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 50 yards.

He was 5-11 with 1 interception.

Hesston's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Swathers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. McKinney has thrown for 822 yards and 9 touchdowns this season, while Justin Smith has 24 catches for 333 yards.

A big matchup in the league this week will be when Haven takes on the Eagles. As it stands, the Wildcats are in ninth, while Kingman is in fourth.
