Baseball Game Preview: Stevenson Patriots vs. Zion-Benton Zee-Bees

For the second straight game, Stevenson will face off against Zion-Benton. The Patriots will face off against the Zee-Bees at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.

Stevenson not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22nd (when they won 15-1). They put the hurt on Zion-Benton with a sharp 11-1 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Will Nack made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024.

In other batting news, Stevenson got a massive performance out of Kosuke Sakamoto, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, four runs, and one double. The Patriots are 7-1 when Sakamoto posts two or more runs, but 7-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Cooper Harris, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

Stevenson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Stevenson's record now sits at 14-15. As for Zion-Benton, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
