Volleyball Recap: Yorkville Christian Takes a Loss

Yorkville Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Coal City Coalers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Coalers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 back in August.

Yorkville Christian was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the second set very close. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-22.

Yorkville Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-16-2. As for Coal City, the victory got them back to even at 16-16-1.

Yorkville Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Coal City, after both having extra time off, they and Seneca will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
