Baseball Recap: Randolph-Macon Academy's Win Ends Six-Game Losing Streak at Home

On Tuesday, everything went the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets's way against the Front Royal HomeSchool Flames as the Randolph-Macon Academy Yellow Jackets made off with a 12-4 victory.

Thomas Glasgow made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over four innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in earned runs (zero). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played.

In other batting news, Jason Hoff and Joshua Hernandez did most of the damage at the plate: Hoff scored two runs and stole Four bases. while going 1-for-3, while Hernandez scored a run while going 2-for-4. Hoff is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Soren Anderson was another key player, scoring a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Randolph-Macon Academy's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-0. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Randolph-Macon Academy will head out to face off against Quantico at 4:00 p.m. on March 20th. As for Front Royal HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on Grace Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Front Royal HomeSchool has given up an average of 10 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
