Volleyball Recap: Pinckney Takes a Loss

Pinckney was the 3-1 winner over Adrian when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Pinckney Pirates took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Adrian Maples on Saturday.

Pinckney couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Adrian a tough time in the second set. The final score came out to 25-21, 31-29.

Mya Karolak paced Pinckney's offense, picking up six kills. Karolak got some help from Audrey Wardlow and her 15 assists. Maddie Baugh and Tatiana Williams kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Pinckney's defeat dropped their record down to 22-15. As for Adrian, their win bumped their record up to 13-22-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Pinckney is on the road again on Tuesday to play Dexter at 7:00 p.m. As for Adrian, they will venture away from home to challenge Pioneer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
