Basketball Recap: Waukee Falls Short Against Ranked Valley

On Friday, Waukee faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Waukee Warriors took a 73-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Tigers. The Warriors were not able to make up for their loss to the Tigers from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Waukee's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Valley, they pushed their record up to 9-1 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Waukee has already played their next game, a 79-66 victory against Western Christian on the 8th. As for Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Johnston at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
