Softball Recap: Winchester Community Comes Up Short

Winchester Community came into this matchup off a tough nine-run defeat on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Bluffton Tigers by a score of 6-4 on Thursday. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 14, 2019, but that streak is no more.

Aviana Ramos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That home run was her first of the season.

Winchester Community's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Bluffton, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 13-13 record this season.

Winchester Community will take on Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
