Recap: Pine Creek Eagles vs. Ralston Valley Mustangs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Pine Creek Eagles can now relate to. They suffered a rough 28-3 loss at the hands of Ralston Valley on Friday. It was the first time this season that Pine Creek let down their fans at home.
Cameron Cooper threw for 95 yards on nine of 14 attempts. Ramon Pacheco was his top target, picking up 62 receiving yards. On the ground, Mason Miller rushed for 82 yards.
Ralston Valley can attribute much of their success to Brady Weldon, who rushed for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Madden, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes.
Pine Creek's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Ralston Valley, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Pine Creek does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ralston Valley will square off against Cherry Creek at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Cherry Creek is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
