            Volleyball Recap: Chapman Irish vs. Minneapolis Lions        
        
		
        
        
            Chapman was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took  a  2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Minneapolis Lions. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  2-0  back in August.
 Chapman might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Minneapolis: every set was decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25,  25-22.
 Adelynn Kirkpatrick paced Chapman's offense, picking up seven kills. Kirkpatrick got some help from  Breslyn Francis and her 11 assists. Kirkpatrick was also solid from the service line:  she led the team with two aces.
 Minneapolis can attribute much of their success to  Addison Abell, who  had 21 assists and 11  digs. What's more,  Abell posted two  kills, the most she's  had  over her last three  matchups.
Chapman's defeat dropped their record down to 12-20. As for Minneapolis, the  win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 15-12.
 Chapman wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  match,  a  2-0  loss against Hillsboro on the 11th. As for Minneapolis, they have also already played their next contest,  a  2-0  victory against Haven on the 11th.
