Volleyball Game Preview: Joplin Eagles vs. Raymore-Peculiar Panthers

The Joplin Eagles will take on the Raymore-Peculiar Panthers at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Joplin: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Raymore-Peculiar has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.

Joplin lost 3-0 to Willard on Thursday.

Joplin took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-13, 25-15, 25-16.

Meanwhile, Raymore-Peculiar faced Lee's Summit West in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Panthers came up short against the Titans, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since October 29, 2024.

While Raymore-Peculiar was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-22.

Raymore-Peculiar's defeat dropped their record down to 17-7. As for Joplin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-21-1.
