Baseball Recap: Mount Vernon Gets the Win

While Mount Vernon's win against Justice wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Majors narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Wolves 7-5. The Majors haven't had any issues with the Wolves recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Mount Vernon's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Grimsley, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, three RBI, and one stolen base. Those three doubles gave Grimsley a new career-high. Another was Talon Camacho, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Mount Vernon's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Justice, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-14.

As of now, neither Mount Vernon nor the Wolves have any future games scheduled.
