Softball Recap: Columbus Comes Up Short

After flying high against Grace Christian last Monday, Columbus came back down to earth. Columbus fell just short of the Kemper County Wildcats by a score of 20-19 on Tuesday. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2018.

Columbus' defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Kemper County, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7-1.

Coming up, Columbus will face off against Warren Central at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Considering Columbus has lost 12 straight at home (dating back to last season) and Warren Central three straight on the road, this one might come down to who's more desperate to change their momentum. As for Kemper County, they will challenge Philadelphia at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
