Volleyball Recap: Klein Comes Up Short

Klein lost against Tomball back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bearkats fell 3-1 to the Cougars. The Bearkats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Klein was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Tomball work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 15-25, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Klein saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Violet Lopez had 20 digs and five assists.

Gemma Hopkins went supernova For Tomball., getting 27 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Hopkins has posted since back in August of 2024.

Klein now has a losing record of 16-17. As for Tomball, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 33-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Klein is set to challenge their familiar foe Magnolia West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Tomball will face off against rival Klein Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
