The Nueva School came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the KIPP Esperanza Eagles 8-1. With the Mavericks ahead 4-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

The Nueva School pushed their record up to 7-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those four games. As for KIPP Esperanza, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 0-6-2 record this season.

Coincidentally, The Nueva School and KIPP Esperanza will both be playing El Primero the next time they take the pitch. KIPP Esperanza will host El Primero at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday, while The Nueva School will host them at 3:30 p.m. on January 29th.
