Klahowya and Chimacum are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2016, but likely not for long. The Eagles will square off against the Cowboys at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Klahowya's offense. They fell just short of Central Kitsap by a score of 1-0 on Thursday. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Klahowya saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mckenna Sullivan, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chimacum). They were the clear victors by a 23-12 margin over Vashon Island on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Cowboys needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.

Klahowya now has a losing record of 8-9-1. As for Chimacum, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-9.

Klahowya was able to grind out a solid victory over Chimacum in their previous meeting back in April, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
