Houlton extended their losing streak to eight on Monday, dropping their season record down to 1-9 in the process. They came up short against the Fort Kent Warriors, falling 26-9. On the bright side, the nine- run effort marked the Shiretowners' highest-scoring match to date.

As for Fort Kent, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-6. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded them with their most commanding win of the season.

For Fort Kent's part, they got a massive performance out of Reed Michaud, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI and two runs. Those RBI marked the first that Michaud has brought in this season. Kyle Paradis was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Coming up, Houlton will challenge Mattanawcook at 7:00 p.m. on June 4. As for Fort Kent, they will square off against Limestone/Maine School of Science & Math at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday.
