Baseball Recap: Aquinas Wins High-Profile Matchup Against Liberty

Aquinas is ranked highly in their home state and on Tuesday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Liberty. The Falcons had just enough and edged out the Lions 9-8. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Maddox Baird looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season.

At the plate, Chase Davidson was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Max Lopez, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
