Basketball Game Preview: Shawnee Braves vs. Waynesville Spartans

The Shawnee Braves will be taking part in a tournament against the Waynesville Spartans at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Wednesday, Shawnee beat Northwestern 35-27.

Meanwhile, Waynesville waltzed into their contest on Saturday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They really took it to the Cougars for the full four quarters, racking up a 61-22 victory. The team accrued 50 points in the first half and coasted on those for the win.

Waynesville's victory was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-4. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Shawnee, their win bumped their record up to 5-17.
