Soccer Recap: Corvian Community Takes a Loss

Corvian Community's game on Wednesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Pine Lake Prep Pride by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, Corvian Community can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 315th, while Pine Lake Prep are ranked 67th).

This is the second loss in a row for Corvian Community and nudges their season record down to 3-11-1. As for Pine Lake Prep, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Corvian Community is set to challenge their familiar foe Bradford Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Pine Lake Prep will face off against rival Community School of Davidson at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
