Basketball Recap: St. Andrew's Episcopal Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Anna Beth Tsai-Turton and Soliya Solomon

St. Andrew's Episcopal was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 46-41 heartbreaker at the hands of the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Cubs earlier this season, when they won 57-52.

Soliya Solomon and Anna Beth Tsai-Turton certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Solomon posted 16 points, while Tsai-Turton earned 14 points and seven rebounds. Tsai-Turton is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Safa Al-Uqdah Robinson, who scored seven points and six boards.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Georgetown Visitation Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keira Kabatt, who put up ten points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Kabatt a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlotte West, who had seven points and 12 boards.

St. Andrew's Episcopal's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season.

St. Andrew's Episcopal has already played their next matchup (against Sidwell Friends), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Georgetown Visitation Prep has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Connelly School of the Holy Child.
