Baseball Game Preview: Eldorado Eagles vs. La Cueva Bears

Eldorado is 2-8 against La Cueva since June of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Bears at 10:00 a.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

La Cueva will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Eldorado extended their winning streak to eight on Tuesday. Everything went the Eagles' way against Albuquerque as they made off with a 15-3 victory.

The team relied heavily on Nathaniel Jaramillo, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Sullivan Wilson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and one run.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Eldorado kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in eight consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, La Cueva made easy work of Manzano on Saturday and carried off a 20-1 win.

Eldorado's victory bumped their record up to 15-2. As for La Cueva, their win bumped their record up to 14-3.
