Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marana). They put the hurt on the Buena Colts with a sharp 20-4 victory on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.
Bella Corona was incredible, firing off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in March of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella Sayre, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Marana always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .784. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Buena only posted an OBP of .407.
The win made it two in a row for Marana and bumps their season record up to 7-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games.
