While Gainesville's win against Fordland wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bulldogs won by a run and slipped past the Eagles 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Bulldogs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Gainesville's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Fordland, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.
