Basketball Recap: Kearney Comes Up Short

Kearney suffered their closest defeat since February 2, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Grandview by a score of 53-50. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Grandview this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-40 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grandview to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Cruthird, who posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Danny Richardson, who had ten points.

Kearney's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Grandview, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-10 record this season.

Kearney will challenge Winnetonka at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Grandview, they will be playing at home against Smithville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
