Soccer Recap: City Baptist School Comes Up Short at Home Against Marquette Manor Baptist Academy

City Baptist School unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They lost 8-1 to the Marquette Manor Baptist Academy Minutemen on Tuesday. City Baptist School were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. City Baptist School will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on HomeSchool Resource Center at 5:15 p.m. on September 9. As for Marquette Manor Baptist Academy, they will be defending their home pitch for the first time this season when they go up against Lake County Baptist at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give Marquette Manor Baptist Academy their first taste of in-conference action this season.
