Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Sophia Florence and Kassidy Manning Lead Druid Hills to Victory

Druid Hills waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the North Springs Spartans. That's more bragging rights for the Red Devils, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Druid Hills was led to victory by Kassidy Manning and Sophia Florence. Manning had 11 assists and two aces, while Florence had five aces and two assists. What's more, Manning posted two kills, the most she's had over her last five contests.

They weren't the only good server: Druid Hills was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive games.

Druid Hills' victory bumped their record up to 30-6. As for North Springs, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-18 record this season.

Druid Hills will face off against Paideia at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Springs, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Clarkston on the 23rd.
