Soccer Game Preview: Gardena vs. Wiseburn- Da Vinci

The Gardena Panthers will square off against the Wiseburn- Da Vinci Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

If Wiseburn- Da Vinci heads into halftime all tied up, they better play a good second half: that's when Gardena took over last week. The Panthers had just enough and edged out Leuzinger 2-1. That's two games straight that Gardena have won by just one goal.

Tonyi Phillips and Leonardo Rosales scored both of Gardena's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Meanwhile, Wiseburn- Da Vinci's contest on Thursday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Their defense stepped up to hand Hawthorne a 6-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Wiseburn- Da Vinci's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

The win got Wiseburn- Da Vinci back to even at 2-2-1. As for Gardena, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Gardena might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Wiseburn- Da Vinci in their previous meeting back in December of 2019. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
