            Softball Recap: Puckett Wolves vs. Pelahatchie Chiefs        
        
		
        
        
            Puckett never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Pelahatchie Chiefs as they made off with  a  14-0 win. The Wolves have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Chiefs, too.

The team  relied heavily on  Aubrey Pardue, who  went 3-for-4 with four  RBI, two  runs,  and two  doubles. Those  four  RBI gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Meredith Shivers, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Puckett  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .600. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pelahatchie only posted  an  OBP of  .143.
Puckett has  been performing  well recently as they've  won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6-1 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Pelahatchie,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-4.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Puckett will welcome St. Andrew's Episcopal  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Pelahatchie, they will be playing at home against Pisgah  at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday. The Chiefs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Dragons have averaged an impressive 10.4  runs per game this season.
