Soccer Game Preview: Middle Park vs. Arrupe Jesuit

The Middle Park Panthers will take on the Arrupe Jesuit Generals at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Middle Park barely beat Bennett the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Tigers 5-2 on Wednesday. The score was close at halftime, but Middle Park pulled away in the second half with three goals.

They hit Bennett with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Meno Zuniga (2), Diogui Laynes, Cristian Amador, and Ivan Galaviz.

Meanwhile, Arrupe Jesuit kept a clean sheet against Alameda on Friday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Pirates. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Arrupe Jesuit were the better team in the second half.

The victory got Arrupe Jesuit back to even at 4-4-2. As for Middle Park, the win got them back to even at 5-5-1.

Middle Park beat Arrupe Jesuit by a goal when the teams last played back in October of 2024, winning 2-1. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Generals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
