Louisa County has gone a perfect 10-0 against Charlottesville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Lions will host the Black Knights at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Louisa County's favor as the team sits on six straight wins at home while Charlottesville has been banged up by 20 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Thursday, Louisa County beat Goochland 6-1. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Louisa County got a great performance from Lily Ruckle as she tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Ruckle has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Alyssa Hopkins was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Laci Garrett, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Charlottesville fell victim to Western Albemarle and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Warriors. Having soared to a lofty 17 runs in the game before, the Black Knights' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Louisa County's win bumped their record up to 12-5. As for Charlottesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-14.

Everything went Louisa County's way against Charlottesville in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Louisa County made off with a 19-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Black Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
