Football Recap: Plattsmouth Starts Season with Win Against Buena Vista

Plattsmouth gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 55-6 victory over the Buena Vista Bison. The Blue Devils haven't had any issues with the Bison recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Plattsmouth to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jackson Eby, who rushed for 57 yards and three scores. Bradin Vanwinkle was in the mix too, providing the Blue Devils with two touchdowns.

Despite the loss, Buena Vista saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Rico Williamson rushed for 56 yards and one TD. Williamson showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 60 yards.

Plattsmouth has already played their next contest, a 28-19 victory against Elkhorn on the 5th. As for Buena Vista, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 21-6 defeat against Benson on the 5th.
