Softball Recap: Dickson County Now 7-1 over Last Eight Games

Dickson County came out on top against Waverly Central on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive seven-run seventh inning. The Cougars were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won 11 contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Dickson County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.1 runs over those games. As for Waverly Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-9.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dickson County will host Kenwood at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Knights at the right time seeing as the Knights are stuck on a 16-game losing streak. As for Waverly Central, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Camden Central at 5:00 p.m. The Lions will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Tigers surely won't give up without a fight.
