Football Recap: Coal Ridge Titans vs. Moffat County Bulldogs
Coal Ridge won the last time they faced Moffat County and Dylan Miller did his part to make sure it happened again. The Titans simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Bulldogs 49-8 with plenty of help from Miller, who threw for 215 yards and four TDs on only 13 passes, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. He is on a roll when it comes to passing touchdowns, as he's now passed for three or more in each of the last four games he's played.
Coal Ridge didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Diego Gamez and Jacob Cordova. Cordova also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with seven. Coal Ridge received some extra help from Kai Oesterle, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.
Despite the loss, Moffat County saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Weston Swaro rushed for 69 yards and one score.

The win was the fifth in a row for Coal Ridge, bringing their record up to 5-1. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 43.2 points. As for Moffat County, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-5.
