Baseball Recap: Dover Takes a Loss

Dover was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Covington-Douglas Wildcats, falling 12-3. The Longhorns were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Dover now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Covington-Douglas, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Dover will head out on the road to square off against Hollis at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington-Douglas, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Covington-Douglas Wildcats take on Pond Creek-Hunter Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Their pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so Pond Creek-Hunter's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
