Soccer Game Preview: Goochland vs. Louisa County

The Goochland Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Louisa County Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Goochland has given up an average of 3.6 goals per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Goochland lost 6-1 to Western Albemarle on Tuesday. Goochland haven't had much luck with Western Albemarle recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Louisa County can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Fluvanna County 2-1.

Louisa County's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-12 and their overall record up to 2-14. As for Goochland, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-10.

Goochland beat Louisa County by a goal when the teams last played back in April, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
