It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Boerne ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Pieper Warriors, sneaking past 3-2. This was a revenge game for the Greyhounds: when they faced off against the Warriors on Tuesday, they had to take a 3-0 loss.

Boerne's victory bumped their record up to 19-10. As for Pieper, they moved to 14-10-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Boerne is set to challenge their familiar foe Wagner at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pieper will face off against rival New Braunfels at 7:00 p.m. on the 25th.
