Football Recap: Dexter Skates Past East Prairie with Ease

Dexter put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They breezed past the East Prairie Eagles to the tune of 50-16. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bearcats' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 136th, while the Eagles are ranked 278th).

Leading Dexter to victory were Langston Wernneck and Will Guethle. Wernneck picked up 117 receiving yards and two scores, while Guethle threw for 192 yards and three touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Dexter's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Prairie, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dexter will head out to take on Southern Boone at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Prairie, they will venture away from home to challenge Kennett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
