Basketball Recap: Bishop Gorman's Loss Ends Seven-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After a string of five wins, Bishop Gorman's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 63-55 to the Cross Roads Bobcats. The Crusaders were probably out for revenge after losing 53-29 to them when the teams met back in December of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Several Crusaders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Alexa Remigio, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 13 points. What's more, Remigio also racked up four assists, the most she's had since back in January. Amelia Meads was another key player, going 6 for 12 on her way to 16 points.

Bishop Gorman's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 8-7. As for Cross Roads, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Bishop Gorman will be playing in front of their home fans against Fellowship Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Fellowship Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Bishop Gorman likes a good challenge. As for Cross Roads, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cayuga at 7:00 p.m. on December 31st.
