Basketball Preview: Norwich RVT Warriors vs. Cheney RVT Beavers
The Norwich RVT Warriors will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Cheney RVT Beavers at 5:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Norwich RVT was the victim of a tough 56-35 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Norwich RVT has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Cheney RVT suffered a tough 41-21 defeat at the hands of the Falcons on Friday.
Despite the loss, Cheney RVT saw an underclassman step up: Janilla Hanson scored seven points along with 12 rebounds and seven blocks. Hanson hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Azariah Quintana, who scored two points.
Norwich RVT has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Cheney RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.
Everything came up roses for Norwich RVT against the Beavers in their previous matchup back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 41-14 victory. Will Norwich RVT repeat their success, or do the Beavers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
