Softball Recap: Richwood Comes Up Short

Richwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Pendleton County Wildcat, falling 20-3.

Richwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pendleton County, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Richwood will host Midland Trail at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Richwood's pitchers better be ready for this one: Midland Trail has averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Pendleton County, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Fairmont at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. East Fairmont has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14 runs per game on average), something Pendleton County will no doubt try to take advantage of.
