Volleyball Recap: Organ Mountain Now 5-1 over Last Six Games

Organ Mountain won the last time they faced Gadsden and Alexa Edmonson did her part to make sure it happened again. The Knights put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Tuesday with plenty of help from Edmonson, who had 19 digs and two aces. She has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times she's played.

While Organ Mountain won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 25-14.

Organ Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-7 record this season. As for Gadsden, they dropped their record down to 2-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Organ Mountain will challenge rival Alamogordo at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Gadsden is set to take on their familiar foe Las Cruces at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
