Recap: Cedar Hill Longhorns vs. Kimball Knights

The Cedar Hill Longhorns pushed their score all the way to 56 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 69-56 to Kimball. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Cedar Hill came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 142nd, while Kimball is ranked 357th).

Kimball found their leader in underclassman Marri Wickware, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Lance Carr, who scored nine points along with three blocks.

Cedar Hill's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Kimball, the victory got them back to even at 9-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cedar Hill will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Duncanville at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. One thing working in Duncanville's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season. As for Kimball, they will head out on the road to face off against White at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. White is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.
