Baseball Recap: Largo Comes Up Short

Largo has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.11 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Hudson Cobras by a score of 11-10. The loss continues a trend for the Packers in their meetings with the Cobras: they've now lost three in a row.

Tyson Davis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 13-5. As for Hudson, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-9 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Largo will host Clearwater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Largo 3.1, Clearwater 4) so any runs scored will be well earned. As for Hudson, they will welcome Cypress Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
