 If Northglenn was feeling good  off their  13-4 takedown of Thornton last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Northglenn Norsemen's  tough  12-2 defeat to the Rangeview Raiders  on Friday might stick with them for a while. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Northglenn of the  10-5 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in May of 2022.
 For Rangeview's part,  Sebastian Heredia-Ruiz made a splash no matter where he played. He  struck out nine batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits (and only one walk). Heredia-Ruiz was also big at the plate,  going 1-for-2 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Max McGinnis was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Anthony Reyes, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-2.
 Northglenn's defeat was  their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rangeview, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northglenn will  face off against Vista PEAK Prep at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Rangeview, they will head out on the road to  challenge  Eaglecrest at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. Eaglecrest's pitching crew has only allowed four  runs per game  this season, so Rangeview's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
