Volleyball Recap: South Allegheny Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

South Allegheny proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by three) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a set and slipped past the South Park Eagles 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Gladiators have posted since September 26, 2024.

South Allegheny wouldn't go down easily and took South Park into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. The final score came out to 12-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-27, 15-8.

Angelina Laguardia was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs and five assists. Those 18 digs gave her a new career-high. Bailey Dececco also deserves some recognition as she had her first kills of the season.

South Allegheny is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for South Park, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, South Allegheny will head out to square off against Ringgold at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for South Park, they are taking a road trip to face off against Steel Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
